The Mods
SPOILER ALERT! Stop reading unless you want to know what mods are being used. Below you will find a listing of all mods allowed on our server.
Mods are separated by 4 categories depending on what they will affect in game. You can click the chain link to learn more about a specific mod.
Required Mods
- Core Mods – affect the core game systems or the server.
- Gameplay Mods – add new features and gameplay mechanics.
- Building Mods – add new items to build.
- Combat Mods – add new weapons, armor, and monsters.
Other Mods
- Optional Mods – are NOT required to play on our server, but they are allowed on the server. You can delete these if you are low on disk space or don’t use the features. (See “Optional Mods” in FAQs)
- Blacklist Mods – we tried to install and found these mods were not suitable to our server. This means they are not allowed and may or may not be considered at a later time. OR, they may not be updated for the current build of the game
Starheim
Provides the installer file and this website that your fine self is reading at this very moment.
Usage: This folder is mainly used to provide ServerSyncClient.exe for installing mods.
NEW! COMING SOON This will soon also include our own custom mod which will allow various admin functions and allow for new items and skills needed by the server for things such as the long-awaited reputation system!
Configuration Manager
BepInEx configuration manager.
Usage: This mod is only useful for server administrators and moderators to debug problems with mods.
VORTEX MOD MANAGER
This .dll is what runs Vortex Mod Manager. You will not be able to use Vortex mods on our server.
Usage: If you have the Vortex Mod Manager installed and manage Valheim through it, it will create this file. It can safely be ignored if you don’t use Vortex.
ODIN STEELWORKS
Disabled – not working with latest update! Introduces a whole new tier of armor after the iron age. First, build the steelworks forge, then the kiln, bar mould, and slack tub. Then craft Surtling Core and the Crucible. Place the Crucible into the Kiln with Surtling Core. Take the new Molten Steel and pour it into the Steelworks Mould. Cool it in the Slack Tub and then use the Steel Bars in the Kiln to forge over 130+ new weapons.
RRR Mods
This lazy ass mod author creates their own mod framework that you have to use for any of their mods. Denied.
NAME YOUR SHIP
DISABLED – NO LONGER UPDATED AND WORKING!
Allows you to… name your ship! Just press E at the proper activation spot. Due to a bug, it will show up in French, but I suppose that makes it easier to find the spot you’re supposed to click on.
Usage: Moved to optional. If you don’t want to name your ship or see other player’s ship names, you don’t have to install this mod.
Valharvest
Adds new fruit and vegetables! Much needed! Names not loading in game, lots of user errors reported and console bloat. Needs more development but keeping an eye on it.
